Now as part of my Caribbean History course, I'll be doing a talk about Obama =D which also includes: slavery in America, reconstruction, civil rights movements (again in the states) and then Obama.
Now, in regards to civil rights can anyone rec any books on civil rights movements? There are so many books, and sadly, most of those lack reviews =(
I also need recommendations regarding black power =)
I've seen: A Taste of Power: A Black Woman's Story (Paperback), which sounds amazing, and it will help with my talk, especially, with the women being always at the backline, as I learnt when BBC 4 did their 50 years of Motown (for a month)
Can anyone rec a good civil rights and/or black power (from say the panthers view)? o_O
If anyone can help, I would truly appericate it!!!
